Gilty was established in 1985 by Anne Rodrigues.

Passionate about art and antiques for most of her life, Anne first trained under gilder and restorer, Jacqueline Horsford in London and later in Sydney under renowned picture framer, Charles Hewitt. 

Moving to Adelaide, South Australia in 1985 she set up a retail showroom and gilding workshop, which over time gained a loyal following. Anne’s reputation as a specialist gilder and restorer grew steadily over the almost 30 years she spent restoring and gilding pieces for private clients in Adelaide as well as completing numerous commissioned public architectural projects. Gilty also began manufacturing a range of gilded reproduction French & English style overmantel and wall mirrors, working closely with interior designers and architects.

In 2014 Anne returned to Sydney to live and set up her current gilding and restoration workshop as well as retail outlet, Eyespy Collective allowing Anne to showcase her passion for buying and selling art and antiques.
